West Norfolk lost their last home game of the term but still picked up two points against Ely.
A losing bonus point, plus a bonus for scoring four tries, was the least they deserved for a decent showing against the fourth-placed side.
Craig Edwards (2), Jake Richardson, Lawrence Savage and Henry Rust scored West's tries. Oliver Denton kicked three conversions.
Boss Nigel Richardson said: 'It was a close game and there's a lot to take into next season. We must turn our opportunities into points and keep learning and improving from our mistakes.'
