The UEA Sportspark in Norwich has hosted the annual Chance to Compete competitions for Norfolk schools.

Sponsored by the Chance to Shine charity, supporting Norfolk Cricket Board's High Schools coaching programme, the under-13s title was won by Wayland Academy and the U15s by Litcham School.

Kevin Denmark, Norfolk Cricket Board's cricket development officer, said: 'These competitions are often the players' first introduction to competitive cricket and the standard always improves as the day progresses and are a great start to their schools outdoor summer programme. As always we are very grateful to Chance to Shine for their sponsorship.'

Wayland beat defending champions Litcham in round three of the U13 contest and remained undefeated to win the overall event, with Northgate High in third.

Defending U15 champions Flegg High lost their crucial match to Litcham, with Alderman Peel High third.
