It was the final instalment of the Watling Plate series at Gorleston on Sunday and sailors were treated to some full on sailing.
In race one David Houghton and Tim Wilkins in a RS500 took an early lead which they held to the finish line. Martin Browne and Di Slatter in their RS400 were just behind but were beaten by 12 seconds on corrected time by Nick Favell in his Phantom.
Houghton and Wilkins took the lead in race two just ahead of the two RS400s of Browne and Slatter and team Fryer, Richard and Gary.
After three laps the two RS400s crossed the line together, so close the race team gave them the same time to finish joint second behind Houghton and Wilkins. Next week sees the final day's sailing in the Clubs Sprint series where racing is a series of windward leeward courses.
