There were only two matches played in the Fox Insurance Open Snooker Division One, where second-placed Woodside Warriors beat Attleborough 8-1 and are now only four points behind the leaders, Woodside Rockets.
Broadland A defeated St Philips A 6-3, with Steven Waldron and Tim Goodfellow both winning 3-0, and Steven enjoyed breaks of 77, 56, 45 and 50. Shaun Peacock of St Philips replied with three frames.
Second Division Open leaders Spireites B triumphed over Broadland Bandits 6-3 with Simon Gooda taking the first three frames of the match. Second-placed St Philips B remain 15 points behind the leaders after defeating Broadland B 6-3. Woodside Gothic, in third spot, beat Hethersett 7-2, with Luke Pinches winning 3-0 plus taking breaks of 69, 52 and 61 in each frame. Broadland C had a narrow 5-4 victory over Spireites D, with Ben Baker (Broadland) and Paul Parke (Spireites) having 3-0 wins.
Woodside C opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the Nigel Farrow Cars Handicap Snooker Division One after beating Woodside Peelers 10-2 with the brothers, Jon and Michael, both winning 3-0. St Faiths moved up to second place after beating Rileys 8-4 and St Philips A dropped down to third spot after losing to Hethersett 7-5. Fraser Dobson and Billy Bales both winning 3-0 helped Broadland C beat Woodside B 10-2 and NCC narrowly defeated Spireites 7-5.
Woodside Whirlwinds have drawn level with Broadland B at the top of the Second Division with 77 points each. David Church with three frames plus a break of 44 helped Whirlwinds to a 6-6 draw with Woodside A.
Canary Social defeated Broadland B 7-5 with Colin Dunger and James Hornsby both winning 3-0 and Les Weinert also winning 3-0 for Broadland B.
Broadland A moved up to third spot after drawing with Bayer 6-6. Roger Reynolds (Broadland A) and Adrian Surridge (Bayer) both enjoyed 3-0 victories. Andrew Deboo and Finley Brown both won 3-0 to help Ludham A triumph over St Philips C 9-3.
St Philips remain leaders of the Billiards League on 29 points, despite not completing their match this week.
Hethersett B beat second-placed Hethersett A 3-1 and Pinebanks Exiles moved up to third position after defeating Gothic 3-1 and drawing with Broadland 2-2.
