Moles Rest edged an incredible 11-goal thriller with William Wanderers to lift the Sunday Intermediate Cup at the Football Development Centre in Norwich.
Wanderers started the better of the two teams and created a couple of early chances, from which they should have taken the lead.
It was against the run of play when Moles Rest took the lead in the 12th minute, with Sam Bezants' deflected header from six yards drifting into the net after a high looping free-kick.
Wanderers were back on terms in the 18th minute, when captain Matthew Nixon dispatched a penalty after Daryl Delaney had been sent tumbling by a rash challenge by keeper Daniel Bruce.
In the 25th minute a burst of acceleration from Jamie George down the right took the Moles Rest striker clear of his marker and into the box, before forcing a decent save from Aaron Tye with his shot towards the far post.
Four minutes later Tye was beaten, with veteran Gary Walsh showing excellent close control and composure in abundance, bringing the ball down in the box and curling it into the back of the net. George then rounded Tye to give his side 3-1 half-time lead.
Moles Rest scored a fourth within three minutes of the re-start, when Walsh slotted the ball under Tye, and on 56 minutes it was 5-1 with George notching his second.

But then came an incredible 10-minute spell and four-goal blitz from Daniel Childerhouse as Wanderers pulled it back to 5-5.
Childerhouse started the comeback in the 67th minute, side footing home from a few yards out, before diverting a Lee Roper header past Bruce. His third cam,e when he chipped the keeper from outside the box and then just a minute later he rifled a half volley into the far corner of the net, sending the almost disbelieving Wanderers support into raptures.
But a mix-up between keeper and defender in the 82nd minute presented Walsh with an open goal and he made no mistake, sealing his hat-trick and the Cup for Moles Rest.
