Lowestoft Town are in a happy place after victory against Burgess Hill Town secured their third consecutive win for the first time this season.

The Trawlerboys are finally establishing the consistency that has eluded them so often this campaign and a sense of stability is benefiting manager Ady Gallagher and his players.

The Blues chief admitted morale is good within the camp ahead of their match at home to Kingstonian tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).

'Everyone knows that winning teams are happy teams,' said Gallagher. 'You find that everyone wants to be involved and you don't have as many knocks to contend with. Everyone wants to be out there and it's a good place to be. It's something that we've had at the club for many years.'

Shaun Bammant was the architect of the Blues' win at Burgess with the former Dereham man on target before setting up Jake Reed, whose double ensured victory. The former Dereham man is an important player for the Blues at this level and looks to have put his injury problems behind him.

'We know what Shaun Bammant gives the team and you need players that have got that fight in them,' added Gallagher. 'He always gives absolutely everything.

'Whether he's playing well or not there's never a lack of application. But to be honest there wasn't an outstanding performance from anyone - it was just a good solid performance.

'We did not take enough of our chances in the first half but when they got level we showed we had enough about us to go again.'

Lowestoft's recent run of victories has taken them up to 11th in the table, 12 points outside the play-offs. Momentum is on their side but with only nine games remaining, Gallagher admits their chances of a play-off place are slim. That won't stop them chasing every point though, insists Gallagher.

'Let's face it there are teams that are a lot better placed,' he said. 'Every manager looks at the table but it's more important to focus on the game. 'When you get a sense of momentum then things can fall into place but the same thing can happen the other way as well though. We just need to stay focused on what's immediately in front of us.'
