Harleston Magpies Ladies suffered a difficult return to Indoor Premier League action with four defeats at the weekend.
With six players misssing from the team that won promotion convincingly 12 months ago, it was always likely to be an uphill battle for Magpies and they found themselves 3-0 down against Trojans in their opening match. Angie Wheelhouse led a fightback with two late goals but Magpies could not find an equaliser.
In their second game Magpies lost 3-0 to Sutton Coldfield despite a much improved performance.
On Sunday Wheelhouse gave Magpies the lead against Slough, but they went on to lose 5-1.
The final match saw Magpies slide to a 5-0 defeat against Canterbury.
The Premier League Indoor returns on January 7 and 8 when Magpies play Reading, Leicester, Clifton and Bowdon Hightown.
