King's Lynn Stars have landed a triple injury boost ahead of tomorrow's Premier League return against Berwick at the Norfolk Arena (7.30pm).

Lynn skipper Tomas Topinka, pictured, is poised to return after missing most of the past month with a fractured right leg suffered in a horrific spill at Rye House.

Swedish racer Linus Eklof missed the club's successful northern tour with a neck injury picked up on domestic duty but will also be fit along with British U21 champion Joe Haines.

The Wolverhampton youngster stepped up his comeback from a broken collarbone injury sustained riding in the Elite League for his parent club with a creditable fourth in a Polish World U21 qualifier at the weekend.

Stars' team boss Rob Lyon believes the trio's pending return can only bolster the treble winners hunt for fresh silverware.

Lyon's impressive use of guest bookings was a key factor in Lynn's back-to-back weekend league wins over Edinburgh and Berwick that has moved the club into the top four.

'So far this season the team has struggled to settle into a groove for one reason or another,' he said.

'But after the fantastic results at the weekend and the possibility of returning to full strength, I really feel that we will see everything finally click into place.

'Once that happens I believe we will have a shot at successfully defending all our trophies.'

Bandits' reserve Craig Branney has been passed fit for the Saddlebow return after a precautionary hospital check up on a damaged wrist in heat two of Saturday's home defeat.

Berwick team boss Dave Peet is warning the Stars not to underestimate his squad which includes Paul Clews, who qualified for the British Final at the Norfolk Arena last week.

'We had a lot of luck go against us on Saturday like losing Craig in his first heat,' said Peet.

'However, our track is big and fast like King's Lynn and after speaking to the team it is clear they all like the place so I see no reason why we can't come to Norfolk and give the Stars a run for their money - and with a bit of luck maybe catch them out.'
