Thetford Town's recovery continues after another big win for Danny White's team.

The Brecklanders' season had been in danger of ending in disaster after a terrible run of form, but that has all changed in the past three weeks.

Since a 6-0 thumping at Coggeshall, Thetford have been on an upward trajectory, with three league wins and a draw, plus a big win in the League Cup at another resurgent side, Kirkley & Pakefield.

Thetford took their goals tally in the past four games to 19 – and that includes a goalless draw at Great Yarmouth – with a 4-0 win away to Ipswich Wanderers on Saturday.

Ross Bailey opened the scoring on 12 minutes with Bradley Sandell's curler into the top corner on the half-hour mark doubling their advantage.

It was 3-0 on 58 minutes when Max Melanson combined well with Andrew Wood before slotting home and 10 minutes later he added Thetford's fourth.

Kirkley grabbed a point in a 2-2 draw at Long Melford, Max Wall scoring an equaliser with the final kick of the game.

Gorleston also left it late to earn a 1-1 draw at Haverhill Rovers, with Kyle Ingram grabbing an equaliser in time added on.

Wroxham had no such problems – they were 4-1 home winners over Wivenhoe Town thanks to goals from Shaun Taylor, Peter Wiltshire and a Connor Ingram double, which included a penalty.

Great Yarmouth Town's home woes continue after they lost 1-0 to Newmarket Town – they have taken just one league point from their last five games at The Wellesley.

Joint boss Martyn Sinclair said: 'You cannot give a team like Newmarket space from a deadball and not expect to get punished. Once they had the lead they made it very difficult for us. After a poor first half we gave it a go in the second half, but our play lacked any real conviction.'

In the First Division, Swaffham Town have taken over at the top after a 2-0 home win over Debenham LC, thanks to a brace of goals from Ryan Pearson. Downham were 3-0 home winners over Little Oakley, with goals from Luke Plumb, Matt Bussens and James Dougal but Diss lost by the same score at home to Cornard United and Norwich United went down 2-0 at AFC Sudbury.
