Norwich United will take a big step towards the Premier Division title if they emerge victorious from this afternoon's top-of-the-table clash with Godmanchester.

The Planters go into the match 11 points clear of Rovers and with a game in hand.

They also go into the match in buoyant mood after securing their place in a cup final in midweek.

Damian Hilton's side won 1-0 at Felixstowe & Walton United in the semi-finals of the Thurlow Nunn League Cup on Tuesday night, thanks to a goal from striker Paul Cook.

They could face Godmanchester in the final of that competition as well, who play their semi-final at Walsham-le-Willows on Tuesday. The final is due to be played at the home of Diss Town, Brewers Green Lane, at 3pm on Monday, May 4.
