Great Yarmouth Town – having taken four points from two away fixtures over the festive period – will be looking to keep up the good work when they entertain struggling Ipswich Wanderers.

The Suffolk side are second from bottom, but should be in good heart after beating leaders Felixstowe & Walton 1-0 on Tuesday.

Yarmouth's festive fixtures saw them win 2-1 at Hadleigh before Mitch Forbes' late goal secured a point in a 1-1 derby day draw at Gorleston.

'Having hit the woodwork three times and having had three efforts cleared off the line maybe we should be disappointed not to have won,' said joint boss Martyn Sinclair.

Gorleston have a tough away trip against a Felixstowe side who will have a point to prove after their shock reverse.

Felixstowe are 11 points clear at the top, although they have picked up only one point from the last possible nine.

In the return fixture at Emerald Park, in what was Stewart Larter's first league game in charge after his return to the club, Felixstowe ran out 4-1 winners.

Wroxham will be looking to avoid slipping further away from the leading pack when they entertain Long Melford. The Yachtsmen are ninth, having lost both festive fixtures, at Ely and Kirkley & Pakefield.

Kirkley's good run has been followed by some inconsistency and they face a trip to Walsham Le Willows.

Thetford are also away, to bottom side Wivenhoe Town. The Brecklanders added three points to their tally over Christmas with a Boxing day win over Fakenham and will fancy their chances today against a side which has taken just one point from their last 13 league games.

Fakenham will have new manager Andy Cunningham in charge for the first time when they host Histon. The Ghosts enjoyed something of a revival after their troubles in October, but have lost their last four and with only two teams below them, will be wary of another relegation dogfight.

In the First Division, third-placed Swaffham are away to AFC Sudbury, but King's Lynn Town Reserves' game at home to Halstead is off because of a waterlogged pitch.
