Wroxham gave new boss Jamie Godbold the perfect introduction to Trafford Park with their first win of the new year.

The Yachtsmen were 2-0 home winners over FC Clacton, ending a run of four defeats which ultimately cost joint managers Tom Parke and Ross Potter their jobs.

Parke wasn't out of football long – he has already been appointed first team coach at Stowmarket, who thrashed Fakenham Town 7-1 at the weekend.

After a goalless first half, Wroxham went ahead on the hour mark when Connor Ingram scored after good work by Connor Deeks.

Adam Smith made it 2-0 eight minutes later, firing low into the far corner having made space for himself in the area.

Thetford came within seconds of picking up a terrific away point at runaway leaders Felixstowe & Walton United.

Max Melanson scored from the penalty spot on 17 minutes to put Thetford ahead, but it was level just before half-time when Miles Powell levelled from another spot kick. But in the fourth minute of time added on, Powell came up with a winner and Thetford were denied a deserved share of the spoils.
