Thetford Town have a dress rehearsal for their League Cup final when they face Brantham Athletic today.

The pair clash on May 7 at Diss Town's Brewers Green Lane, but this afternoon it's league points up for grabs.

Danny White's Thetford go into today's game looking to erase the memory of a 3-0 defeat at Hadleigh in midweek which brought a six-game unbeaten run to an end and unable to jump into the top 10.

And while the cup final may prove a distraction to some, White is remaining focused on finishing as high as possible in the league.

'We are really looking forward to the final, but I'll worry about that nearer the time,' said White, whose team are 12th.

'For me we need to pick up as many points as we can. The final will take care of itself but from the club's point of view it will be a great day.'

White's squad is as strong as it has been all season, with good competition for places throughout the squad, but with two long-term absentees.

'Unfortunately I don't think we will see Johnny Conroy or Alex McIntosh for the rest of the season which is really unfortunate as I felt both started the season very well,' said White.

Gorleston lead the way as far as Norfolk bragging rights are concerned, but the Greens face a major test today when they travel to leaders Coggeshall Town, who have a staggering positive goal difference of 105.

The Essex side, backed by singer Olly Murs, inflicted the heaviest league defeat of Gorleston's Emerald Park history back in December, winning 7-0.

Wroxham, winless in six, had a tough time last weekend, going down 4-0 at home to Felixstowe & Walton United, who are just a point off stop spot, but Jamie Godbold's side steadied the ship with a goalless draw against Haverhill Rovers in midweek. They are at home to Newmarket today knowing a win would see them leapfrog their opponents.

Great Yarmouth Town – 4-0 midweek winners over bottom club Wivenhoe – have a trip to Long Melford.

In the First Division, there's a derby of sorts at Diss, who entertain Norwich United's second string. Swaffham host Braintree.
