Gary Setchell believes creative starlet George Thomson is learning how to become an all-round midfielder at King's Lynn Town.
The 21-year-old has always impressed in attacking areas since his arrival at The Walks in October 2012. But in recent weeks he has displayed his improved defensive capabilities at the base of the Linnets' engine room.
It's a part of Thomson's game that Lynn's boss has always stated he needed to develop and now the pair's hard work finally seems to be reaping its rewards.
Setchell said: 'I told George at half-time on Saturday (3-3 draw with Skelmersdale), it was probably the best half he's had in a King's Lynn shirt with his recycling of the ball.
'We've been looking out for a holding midfielder since Bunts (Richard Bunting) left really. We've had Millsy (Gary Mills) in there but George Thomson is showing me, he's jumping up in the air, doing star jumps, saying 'look I can do this job for you.' But he's not only got that in his locker. When you've got three nice footballers in there, Belly (David Bell), Hursty (Liam Hurst) and Thomson, if George goes forward the other one steps in and they rotate very well.'

Thomson, a former Nottingham Forest Academy player, has been deployed deeper since Dan Quigley started to excel, as he has done all term, at centre-back.
The pair are among a number of young talents who are contracted to stay with the Linnets until the end of next season.
