Ladies' football teams are being invited to get involved in the Norfolk FA County 5IVES League, running at Bowthorpe.

2011 will be an unprecedented year in the women's game with the launch of the WSL (Women's Super League) in April, the World Cup Finals in Germany this Summer, the women's European Champions League Final in London and the Women's FA Cup Final on Saturday May 21 in Coventry.

So this is your opportunity to play recreationally at a local level and get involved in the beautiful game.

There are places available in the current County 5IVES League, which still has ten weeks to run - and there is also a summer league kicking off in early May.

Darren Moss, Girls & Women's Football Development Officer at Norfolk FA, said: 'The league is based around fun participation and fitness, and we are encouraging corporate and business teams to take advantage of the state-of-the-art 3G surfaces and facilities at our Football Development Centre.

'FA-qualified referees are in place for every game and all registered players receive free public liability and personal accident insurance, all at a cost of just 15 per fixture.'

The league is at the FDC, Bowthorpe Park, Clover Hill Road, Bowthorpe on Thursday evenings with kick-off times at either 7pm, 7.45 or 8.30.
