Brett Whaley has wasted no time in getting back into management.

Just four days after he quit Wisbech Town, fellow United Counties League (UCL) Premier Division Yaxley confirmed that Whaley was taking over their recently vacated manager's position.

Whaley, a former boss of Thurlow Nunn League First Division March Town United, only left Yaxley in June 2015 to take up the Wisbech job – a move which he admitted just simply 'didn't work out'.

Dick Creasey rode to Wisbech's rescue on Thursday when Whaley walked away. He quit after less than a season at the helm having replaced Creasey in June last year. But the roles have now been reversed until the end of the season at least.

Creasey's fourth stint in the Wisbech hot seat began with a 1-1 home draw against Harborough on Saturday.
