Holders County Arts earned a quarter-final against Ashill in Norfolk EBA's Club Championship for the Bales Cup after beating Martham - but Swardeston Social caused a shock by winning at county league champions Acle St Edmund and will play St Lawrence BC.
Holders County Arts earned a quarter-final against Ashill in Norfolk EBA's Club Championship for the Bales Cup after beating Martham - but Swardeston Social caused a shock by winning at county league champions Acle St Edmund and will play St Lawrence BC.
Cromer also overcame Premier League opposition by beating Cawston. They will meet Hunstanton EBA. The other tie is an all-Premier League affair with Wymondham Dell playing Norfolk BC.
The quarter-finals will be played tomorrow: Hunstanton/Cromer and St Lawrence/Swardeston at Swaffham Town, plus Wymondham/Norfolk BC and Ashill/County Arts at Hingham Rectory.
Meanwhile, Norfolk Federation Under-25 team were beaten 115-98 by Suffolk in their final game of the season at Acle BC.
Norfolk led by three shots at five ends and by 15 ends they were 54-38 ahead. But by end 20 the scores were level at 64-64. By 25 ends Suffolk had opened a 14-shot lead which they increased to 17 by the end.
