Swardeston travel to the home of Norfolk cricket on Saturday looking to get their East Anglian Premier League campaign back on track.

Joe Gatting's side slipped down to sixth in the table last Saturday after suffering their third successive defeat, a painful 148-run home reverse at the hands of lowly Vauxhall Mallards.

Another setback against Horsford would leave them with even more ground to make up, while also seeing them drop below their hosts in an increasingly congested table.

While defending champions Sudbury lead the way by 20 points, just 19 separate Mildenhall in second position and Horsford in seventh, so there is still plenty of play for with the halfway point of the season looming.

Horsford go into the match on a high, having despatched Copdock by 144 runs at Manor Park in their previous match.

Sudbury will be aiming to consolidate top spot when they visit Postwick to take on a Norwich side who were held to a frustrating draw by Frinton last week.

Great Witchingham, now the leading Norfolk club after their fine win at Mildenhall, are away to Cambridge Granta while an in-form Mallards side travel to Mildenhall. Having won their previous two games Ben France's side are now 35 points clear of the one relegation spot, currently occupied by Bury St Edmunds.

Downham Town will be looking to take their lead in the Premier Division of the Norfolk Alliance beyond the 50-point mark tomorrow. They play host to closest challengers North Runcton who are currently 34 points adrift and desperately need a win to keep the gap a manageable one.

There is also a big game at the other end of the table, with bottom two Diss and Acle meeting at Rectory Meadow, while in Division One Dereham will go top if they win at Beccles as leaders Thetford are without a game.

The group stages of the NW Brown Norfolk Twenty20 competition draw to a close next week with two more matches at Manor Park.

Hosts Horsford take on Vauxhall Mallards on Tuesday before Swardeston play Norwich on Thursday. Both games start at 6pm and admission is free.
