The Greene King Eastern Counties Division One outfit have appointed a new head coach for the 2014/14 campaign and beyond. Stuart Low will take over at North Pickenham Road with Francis Donaghy stepping up from the existing coaching team to assist.

Chairman Ian Milligan said: 'Stuart has an abundance of experience having been the head coach for the USA 18s squad, the Bedford Blues academy and director of rugby at Peterborough. He has also been an RFU coach educator, so not only do the players at the club have the opportunity to develop under his guidance so do the coaches across all of the age groups.

'It is, however, a return home for Stuart as he played for Swaffham back in the early 1990s so he brings with him a wealth of knowledge together with an understanding of our club.

'Francis started playing rugby in Ulster and has since refereed for a few years in New Zealand before returning to the UK to embark on his coaching career. He has completed his Level One and Level Two qualification and with the support of ECRU will be undertaking his Level Three soon. He has recently returned from St Lucia where he was helping coach rugby following a request on Twitter.'

Having been promoted into EC One last year Swaffham, fourth, will look to finish the season on a high at home to lowly Woodbridge.
