BRANDON LADIES entertained Brantham Athletic in the quarter-finals of the Suffolk Women's League Knock-out Cup.
After the extended break over Christmas and the New Year because of the weather, it was good to get back to some football.
A slow start by both sides saw few chances but as the game progressed Brandon started to take control and took the lead right on half time through Chelsea Nobles who cut in from the right and finished well with a long-range effort into the corner.
A good team performance from the Lasses produced three further goals to see Brandon through to the semi-finals.
It was a case of super subs with all goal scorers coming off the bench.
Erica Northam found the net twice, the first after putting the visiting keeper under pressure and slotting home followed by a deep cross that cleared everyone into the corner. Jonita Marques scored her first for Brandon Ladies, heading home from a corner.
