Norfolk's two amateur internationals have teamed up to compete in the Norfolk County Foursomes at Hunstanton this weekend.

King's Lynn's Jack Yule and Dunston Hall's Toby Briggs form part of an intriguing group that also includes the experienced pairing of Simon Clark (Great Yarmouth & Caister) and Mark Williamson (Royal Cromer).

Yule and Briggs will be using the popular annual competition as preparation for a summer of tough challenges at national and international level, but will need to find their very top form to win what is a handicap event.

A packed field of 78 pairings will be teeing off tomorrow in the chase for the Carrick and Thompson Bowls. They will play two rounds, with the top eight qualifying for Sunday's matchplay stages when the main event and a second flight competition will be decided. Champions Stephen Long and Iain Reid of Eaton will be defending their title.
