King's Lynn Stars have 'reluctantly' made the decision to postpone tonight's Premiership meeting with Poole ahead of a forecast evening downpour.

The Stars were set to host their second home meeting of the campaign, following on from a 53-37 defeat of Belle Vue at the Adrian Flux Arena last Wednesday which got their season off to a belated start.

That was followed by a 48-42 loss at Swindon the next night but the opportunity to bounce back against the Pirates tonight has been taken away.

'King's Lynn have reluctantly taken the decision to postpone tonight's Premiership meeting with Poole,' a statement on the Stars' website says.

'The decision is based on the Met Office forecast which suggests at least three hours of constant rain and more at key times this evening.

'We have made this decision in the best interests of all parties to minimise inconvenience and thank everyone for their understanding.'
