South Elmham Trout Lakes, 07500 703389: Stalking the margins has been a successful tactic employed by many since the marginal plants and reeds have started to provide cover for the bigger fish. Midday bright sun has sent the fish deeper, with rises in the early mornings and late evenings. Best catches this week went to Terry Baker and Paul Smith, who both took their bag limit and returned brownies of 6lb and 5lb and a 4lb rainbow.

Willow Trout Fishery, 01986 785392: On bright days the fish are retreating to the deep water to shelter, but will rise up to flies presented to them. Best flies have been buzzers, dawl bachs and shipmans buzzers. In early mornings and late afternoons fish are freely rising taking buzzers. Most anglers are taking their limit bags with the best fish a 3lb rainbow trout.

Narborough Trout Lakes, 01760 338005: Fishing well with plenty of fish being caught. Best flies have been buzzers, nymphs, hoppers and small dark dry flies. Floating lines and long leaders with a very slow twitchy retrieve is working best. All lakes are clear.
