Southwold got the bonus point win they needed to keep the pressure on the leaders with one match left to play.

With Stowmarket seeing off Thetford 50-14 the two teams remain locked together at the top of London 3EC on 86 points.

But it's Stowmarket who lead the way by virtue of having lost just one game this season to their rivals' two.

Southwold went ahead when Ollie Carlstroem drew the defence for winger Jacob English to score and stretched their lead following a Woodbridge penalty when Des Brett touched down after a maul. The hosts continued to attack in the second half and Cemil Duruk battered his way over the line before James Barton scored out wide and English completed the scoring.

Southwold visit Wisbech in their final game next weekend and need a slip-up from Stowmarket at Holt to avoid the play-offs.
