A Sean Brundle masterclass failed to inspire West Norfolk to victory at Southwold.
Brundle crashed over three times for Wests and kicked two penalties but captain Paul Denton missed three vital conversions as Nigel Richardson's troops slipped to their first defeat of the campaign.
'It was a close game which could have gone either way,' said Richardson. 'We put them under lots of pressure in the second-half but could only score a penalty to get us the bonus point. However, we were great in the scrum and there are a lot of positives to take into next week.'
