King's Lynn Town's hopes of getting a bumper gate at The Walks this afternoon have been hit by the wet weather.
First-team boss and general manager of the Linnets, Gary Setchell, had issued a rallying call for more supporters to get behind the club during the run up to his side's home Southern League Premier Division clash against play-off rivals Hungerford Town.
But those efforts have gone to waste with the fixture being called off this morning due to a waterlogged pitch.
A date for the restaging will be confirmed in due course with the Linnets set to return to action in a week's time at home to Dorchester Town, another top-five hopeful.
Before that, King's Lynn Town Reserves, weather permitting, are set to host Dereham Town in the Norfolk Senior Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening.
