The college women's football team stormed into the last four of the British Colleges' East of England and East Midlands Cup against a very strong team which included two England international players.
In their first game since November quick early interplay on the edge of the Huntingdon penalty area resulted in a fantastic goal from Jess Atkinson who bent her shot into the top corner after being slotted in by Jade Spooner. Huntingdon hit the bar then a quick counter-attack led to Stacey Annison increasing the lead with a volley.
East Norfolk took full control with a goal from Jade Spooner who spun off her marker after being played in by Amy Hague and a fourth came from Atkinson .
Second half they conceded a goal before Annison got her second and Amy Hague scored the goal she deserved following another pass from Jade Spooner. Atkinson was very unlucky not to have a hat-trick.
Sharnie Boast and Annison produced their best display as a midfield pair this season, but the player of the match was Laura Thacker. The girls travel to SE Essex College for their semi-final.
