Shotford A maintain their perfect record

A fourth consecutive win helped Shotford A remain top of Division Three of the Norfolk CIBA County Bowls League. They won by 83 shots to 69 at Old Hall with David Riches rink winning 32-10.

Norfolk BC B are second after edging to a 82-81 win at Dereham A (Keith Potter 26-18). Wymondham B recorded their first win of the season, 86-74 at Browston B despite the home team's Neville Miller top scoring 29-13. The closest match of the day saw Brecks A and Acle C draw 74 shots apiece. With all four rinks winning by two shots, the top rinks were skipped by Alan Byford for Brecks (22-10) and Mick Askham for Acle (19-17).

North Walsham continue to dominate Division Four after beating Great Yarmouth A 106-54 (Derek Jeary 28-11). Pinewood Park B are second in the table after winning 93-53 at Wymondham C, captain Clem Fountain skipping the top rink with a 28-10 score.

Diss B beat Pentney B at home 101-72 (Ray Biggs 35-13) while County Arts C won 89-73 at Norfolk BC C (T Yallop 31-15).

In Division Five, Lynnsport B beat Great Yarmouth B 87-80 (David Bailey 23-14) while Brecks B won for the first time, 90-72 at Roundwood B (V Waterlow 26-150.

In the third round of the Denny Cup, County Arts beat Lakeside 91-55 and Acle beat Diss 101-66. County Arts will now play Ipswich and Acle will face Barking in the fourth round on Saturday, December 3.

Norfolk BC are the county's only survivors in the Denny Plate after they beat Roundwood 99-57 and Pentney lost to Lakenheath 83-66. Norfolk will play Mid Suffolk in the third round, also on Saturday, December 3.
