CROWN FIRE CENTRAL & SOUTH NORFOLK LEAGUE: The majority of first division teams from the league were engaged in the first round of the Sound & Vision Junior League Cup.

Bridgham United beat Cranworth 4-1 at home and Thetford Rovers Reserves did likewise at home to Narborough. Bunwell beat Rockland United 2-0 while Gressenhall made progress with an odd goal of five win at Tacolneston.

There were two matches in Division One. Dereham Town A moved back into second place with a 2-0 win at their counterparts from Swaffham Town while Hingham Athletic picked up their first points of the season with a 3-2 home win over Great Ryburgh.

The Division Two leaders Castle Acre Swifts consolidated their position with a 5-2 home win over Yaxham and are a point ahead of Nostro who ran out 3-1 winners at West End.

The local derby between Wymondham Town A and Hethersett Athletic produced a good game which was well refereed by Michael Coulson.

Although Wymondham took an early lead, Hethersett made the most of their chances with some excellent finishing and ran out worthy 5-1 winners and move up to third as a result.

Morley Village are fourth after a 3-3 home draw with Shropham United Necton recorded their first league win of the season with 9-1 result against bottom team Hingham Athletic Reserves and Saham Toney Reserves did likewise with a 4-2 win at Sporle.

Narborough Reserves continue to lead the way in division three following their 7-2 win at bottom team Shipdham Reserves and lead North Elmham by a point after North Elmham's 2-1 home win over Thurton and Ashby.

Wendling are up to third after winning 7-1 at Rockland United Reserves on the same number of points as Bawdeswell who had to settle for a share of the spoils with Breckland Wanderers after a 3-3 draw.

Great Cressingham recorded their first league win of the season with a 4-1 home success over Splitz United and Methwold Rovers netted three without reply from Gressenhall Reserves

Diss Town A stay top of Division Four with a 100 per cent record after winning 4-2 at Colkirk. Their nearest rivals are Shropham United Reserves who edged out Nostro Reserves by the odd goal of nine and Mulbarton Wanderers Reserves who spoilt Mattishall A's 100 per cent record with a 3-1 away win.

Tacolneston Reserves won 4-2 at Beetley United, Tugas United beat Scarning United 6-1 at home and North Elmham Reserves squeezed past Weasenham Wanderers on the right side of a 5-4 scoreline.

In the two Norfolk Primary Cup first round replays, Northwold S&SC beat Rampant Horse 3-0 on penalties after a 2-2 draw and Stoke Ferry went out, being beaten 5-3 by Earsham.
