Norwich School's first XV have reached the semi-finals of the Daily Mail Vase after beating Bath-based Downside School 16-0 to clinch a last four spot in the prestigious national competition.
Norwich will now host Coopers' Coburn at Broadstreet Rugby Club in Coventry on February 28 for a place at Twickenham on March 31.
"Having reached the last 16 of the cup last season we felt confident of going further in the Vase once we were beaten by Wymondham College in round three," said Iain Grisewood, head of rugby. "The Vase is the second tier competition but still has some renowned rugby schools involved so for us to have made it through this far is a testament to the team's hard work, skill and determination. The team's coach, Richard Sims, is fully aware that the boys will need to step up their game if they are to achieve the season's goal of being victorious at Twickenham, but that is the target we set ourselves back in October."
Norwich's points in the quarter-final came through tries from Julius McGillivray and Billy Clayton and two penalties for skipper Rhys Davies-Horne.
