King's Lynn Town last night bolstered their options ahead of their season opener at Ramsbottom on Saturday by signing Sam Brookes.
The 24-year-old, who featured during his new club's last friendly of the summer at the weekend, played against Lynn when they were hammered 6-1 by Buxton in February.
The defender spent his early career at Port Vale before spending four years playing football in America for a couple of clubs. Brooks returned to the UK in August 2012 and signed for Halesowen. He made 18 appearances before returning to the States in October 2012.
