Dereham Town and Wroxham renew their Ryman League rivalry as they look to bounce back from opening-day defeats.
The Magpies were beaten 3-0 at Haringey Borough while Wroxham went down 2-0 at home to Cheshunt. Tonight’s Division One clash, the first Norfolk derby of the campaign in the Step Four set-up, presents the ideal opportunity for both sides to try and deliver a response.
Dereham manager Matt Henman, who has seen star striker Luke Tuttle leave to join lower-level Spixworth, said: “We were disappointed with the result on Saturday but there were plenty of positives. We just need to fine tune things at both ends of the pitch. Tonight is the perfect game to try and get Saturday’s result out of the system.”
Hitman Ryan Crisp (groin) will undergo a fitness test with Jake Anema and Harley Black coming into the hosts’ squad.
Visiting Wroxham boss Damian Hilton, once again without Andy Howell and Matt Halliday, added: “Saturday was a promising start and we played very well for long periods. It was a step in the right direction of our rebuilding process.”
