Wroxham boss Pawel Guziejko is hoping the start of a new year will bring a change in luck for his side.
The rub of the green has gone against The Yachtsmen on several occasions so far this season, none more so than in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Waltham Forest – their fourth loss on the trot – when Stephane Koffi's 83rd minute deflected winner earned the points for Forest in a game Wroxham dominated. And while Guziejko admitted that his players have been guilty of missing chances, he also believes that they are due a bit of luck soon.
'You need luck in football and so far we haven't really got much,' he said.
'On Saturday was a good example; we had all those chances that we couldn't finish and they go up the other end, have one shot that gets deflected and we lose the game. We are gutted, but this is football.'
Wroxham, who welcome back striker Stephen Drake, host ninth-placed Needham Market today, a side that Guziejko's men snatched a late point against earlier in the season thanks to Joe Marsden's last-minute penalty.
