Wymondham's up-and-down season continued at the weekend when they crashed to a comprehensive 57-21 defeat at Ely.
The Red and Blacks, who have now lost eight and won six this season, were no match for a home side who are still just about within touching distance of top two Stowmarket and Southwold.
The hosts remain seven points adrift of the title chasers after turning on the style while denying Wymondham a bonus point, although the visitors did score three tries, with Chris Collins Reed and Josh Wright among the scorers.
Stowmarket remain above Southwold on points difference after beating Lowestoft and Yarmouth 86-0 to condemn their struggling visitors to a 14th straight defeat.
Elsewhere, West Norfolk claimed the derby spoils by beating Wisbech 46-8 at Gatehouse Lane and Thetford saw off visitors Woodbridge 34-8. Thetford remain fifth in the table, four points behind Holt.
