Canaries teenager Rossi Jarvis could be sent out on loan again next season.

The Fakenham teenager has been at League One Rotherham since mid-March, following a spell at Torquay, but Grant says he has a way to go before he can be considered part of his first team plans.

“Rossi is a young man, he is obviously part of the future here,” said Grant. “We will have to se how he progresses. I still feel he is short of the first team at this moment in time.

“What hasn't helped him is the amount of time he was not playing games of football and I think the biggest thing about him going to Rotherham is that he has experienced the disappointment of getting relegated and the experience of playing in games that matter.

“For a young man that is difficult to understand playing reserve team football. I know he will probably get frustrated, but Youssef Safri and Dickson Etuhu have been playing exceptionally well and all he would have been doing was sitting on the bench if he was lucky.”

And it's that lack of first team football that could mean another temporary move away from Carrow Road.

“It is something I will look at again next year,” he said. “If I felt it was a benefit to him I would definitely do that. One thing I will try and not have here is guys who will go two and three months without a game. I just think it is a total waste of time, on their development as well, so the loan system I will try and utilise next year.”
