Larkwood Trout Fishery: A nice 10lb rainbow was caught and returned unharmed by local angler Matt Bradbeer.

Flies are now starting to turn to the more natural invitations, with pheasant tail and black buzzer fishing well. Another popular fly has been the Diawl Bach. Despite the warmer weather, the fish have been a bit deeper (five to eight feet in West Stow Lake and right on the bottom, 18 feet, in Glebe Lake).

Tuition can be arranged at a special price this month of just 20 including tackle, ring Ian on 07776 370348 to arrange a time.

Blackdyke Trout Fishery: This week the trout have been taking damsels, orange blobs, orange fritz and small nymphs hares ears.

The lake is very clear and the trout can be seen cruising about, floating lines being the order of the day with a slow figure of eight retrieve.
