Norfolk's Minor Counties Championship opener against Cambridgeshire at March has been abandoned due to rain with no play possible on the final day.

Officials made the decision on Tuesday lunchtime following persistent morning drizzle and the forecast for heavy rain throughout the rest of the final day.

Norfolk earn 10 Championship points and the hosts 9 from the first fixture of the three-day season.

Cambs were poised to resume overnight on 66-0 in their second innings - a lead of 12.
