The first ever New Year's Day race meeting at Fakenham has been given the go ahead.
Course officials gave the nod after an inspection at 7.30 this morning.
Clerk of the course David Hunter had been concerned by threat of frost but temperatures did not fall as low as in previous nights largely thanks to cloud cover.
He said: 'The temperature got down to about zero but the little bit of crustiness that was there has gone and we are forecast an overcast day with no wind and temperatures of plus two.
