King's Lynn Stars have suffered their first home rain-off of 2014 and will now not entertain Lakeside Hammers this evening.

The Stars called off their top-of-the-table Elite League clash around lunchtime due to the wet conditions that had already arrived and were widely forecast to continue well into the evening.

It's only the second time this season Rob Lyon's team – who were hoping to bounce back from successive defeats – have had a meeting postponed thanks to the weather.

A rearranged date for the fixture is yet to be confirmed. As it stands, Lynn will return to action on Wednesday at home to Leicester Lions.
