The 2017 British Superbike Championship gets under way at Donington Park this weekend – with plenty of Norfolk interest.

Last week the teams went to Donington for the final test day but with conditions far from ideal only one local rider, Fraser Rogers of Morello Racing, took to the track to complete a few laps.

Norwich-based Morello have signed Danny Buchan to partner Rogers in a bid to regain the Superstock 1000 title, Buchan won in 2014 when he dominated the series and he will be hoping for more of the same with the team's latest Kawasaki 1000cc ZX-10RR while Rogers will be looking to improve on his sixth place last year. Morello are also running Davey Todd in the Superstock 600 class.

The Royal Air Force Regular and Reserve team from RAF Marham have a fully recovered Jake Dixon on the team's Superbike. Also joining the team is South African Jordan Weaving, the current Superstock 600 champion.
