The meek surrenders of a troubled Premier League club this week has once again reminded Gary Setchell what he has at King's Lynn Town.

While Sam Allardyce has overseen two miserable thumpings for West Ham, the Linnets boss is enjoying his side's best run of the season.

Three consecutive victories have left many hoping Lynn can beat Buxton at The Walks this afternoon to keep themselves in the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off mix. And Setchell feels he'll always have a chance of enjoying happy times because of the type of players he has at his disposal.

Lynn's manager said: 'In non-league terms, Lynn is a high pressure club. It's demanding to play in front of our supporters.

'You have to produce and you have to motivate the team. I'm not going to sit here and blow my own trumpet because it's the players that win or lose you games. You can get it tactically wrong, like I have and did at Stamford, but once the players cross that white line it's down to their desire.

'I've seen a lot written about West Ham this week and their players' lack of desire but that can never be levelled at King's Lynn's players now, and since I've been in charge.'

Buxton, 15th, have only lost twice on the road this term. However, they have played all of the bottom eight sides away so fifth-placed Lynn are expected to extend their decent run.

Setchell is without defender Ryan Fryatt, striker Massiah McDonald (both suspended) and frontman Sam Mulready (hamstring) though. Rob Duffy, Lynn's target man who has scored in each of his last three games, is rated as 'less than 30/70' with the same injury problem as his fellow striker. But wideman Jake Jones has rejoined Lynn and the returning loanee Gary Mills and new signing Peter Bore should all be available.

'I've really only brought Peter in,' said Setchell.

'Millsy and Jones left and came back and I feel we are where we should be player wise. It's a massive boost Jonah coming back and Millsy is already making his presence felt in the dressing room.'
