Pinewood’s win over champions is a lifeline

Pinewood Park A have kept alive their chances of staying in the top division of Norfolk CIBA County League.

Playing champions Acle A at home, they won by 81 shots to 68, Keith Medlar's rink top scoring 29-19. Meanwhile, Lakeside A were losing 99-55 at North Walsham A, the home rink skipped by Ian Wones winning 30-8.

Pinewood Park must now win at Wymondham A next weekend and gain five points to remain in the top division.

Wymondham A lost 91-66 at Norfolk BC A, Bernie Perrett's rink for Norfolk BC winning 29-10. But the solitary point Wymondham picked up should ensure their place in Division One next season.
