WEST NORFOLK LEAGUE: Bircham kept the heat on leaders Sandringham as they beat Denver by 65 runs in a Division One match reduced to 40 overs.

Will Pillinger scored an unbeaten 74 and Carlos Greeves 55 for Bircham. Sandringham have an 11-point lead at the top after a six-wicket win against The Creakes.

Snettisham declared once Damion Twiddy (100no) had reached his century and Snettisham had scored maximum batting points. Swanton Morley were in trouble at 81 for 8 before rain halted play. Springwood were 25 without loss when rain ended their match with Terrington.

In a Division Two match reduced to 35 overs, Fakenham A's Martin Wall scored 79 and AMBiT Projects MoM Mithun Sortur took 4 for 32 for Hospital, before a storm struck with Fakenham A needing 26 runs from 21 balls with four wickets left.

Downham B's Alan Thulbourne took 5 for 40 as they beat Long Sutton by 34 runs in a match reduced to 40 overs. Swaffham A beat Heacham by four wickets in Division Three with Robert Crisp scoring 50 for Swaffham A and Jason Carter 73 for Heacham. In a match reduced to 35 overs, Paul Lough scored 69no and Ron Williamson took 4 for 18 in Thornahm's 39-run victory against Hillington A. Gayton recorded their first win of the season beating Castle Acre A by 76 runs. M Tillbrook scored 63 for Gayton and Matt Elliot took 4 for 46 for Castle Acre A before Gayton's Andrew Thompson took 3 for 8 from 12 overs. In Division Five Long Sutton A beat Dereham B by 26 runs. Ryan Hallam scored 50 and Shaun Keeble took 4 for 16 for Sutton. Gooderstone A beat Beeston A by 18 runs with Andrew Bell scoring 53no and Samuel Morgan taking 4 for 20 for Gooderstone A. Matthew Cottrell scored an unbeaten 70.
