Captain Lewis Kerr's heroics were not enough to prevent the Young Stars from losing their first National League meeting of the season last night.
Kerr's 12-point haul for the hosts was eclipsed by the 13 points of Coventry's Joe Jacobs as Storm picked up all three points.
Elsewhere, in the Elite League – where Lynn's senior side ride – play-off chasing Birmingham hammered Eastbourne 62-31 while giants Poole's miserable start continued with a shock 48-45 defeat at home to Lakeside.
