Speedway fans packed The Walks tonight to discover who will ride for the King's Lynn Stars next season.

More than 200 supporters squeezed into the Linnet Lounge at the town's football club as team boss Rob Lyon and owner Buster Chapman revealed the Norfolk Arena outfit's full line-up for 2014.

World number three Niels-Kristian Iversen received a raptuous applause when he was unveiled to the crowd as being the man picked to spearhead the Stars for a fourth season in a row. Fellow countrymen, 2013 Stars' ace Nicklas Porsing and former Peterborough Panthers ace Kenneth Bjerre – who last rode for Lynn in 2011 – were not in attendance but will join the Dane in the hope of creating a Scandinavian success story at Saddlebow Road.

Popular Aussie asset Rory Schlein has landed a place in the side's top five for the second term running. But the biggest cheer of the night was reserved for Norfolk's Robert Lambert when it was declared a senior slot has been given to the Young Stars' teenage sensation.

Lyon said: 'We felt with a strong top three (Iversen, Bjerre and Schlein), not only will it give us some strength in pretty much every race, it will also help the younger boys progress and learn at their own pace without too much pressure.'

Lewis Kerr and Lewis Rose were also presented to the Stars' faithful after being confirmed as the team's reserves at the Fast Track draft day last week.
