A masterful innings of 95 from Peter Lambert set up Swardeston's 50-run victory over Sprowston in the Norfolk Twenty20 Cup at Manor Park last night.
Lambert, who faced 61 balls and struck 12 fours and two sixes, featured in an opening stand of 113 with Stephen Gray (39). Rob Purton took two for 24 as Swardeston posted 175 for four.
Sam Thelwell claimed a wicket in his first over to leave Sprowston on the back foot and although Purton (55no) and Simon Chipperfield (35no) added 69 for the fourth wicket, Swardeston were comfortable winners.
The next match is on Tuesday, when Great Witchingham face Brooke.
