Paul's six-blitz boosts Terrington

Matty Herbert scored 106 and Damien Twiddy 61 as Snettisham made 249-8 before restricting Castle Rising to 165-8. But the 19-point win wasn't enough to stop Snettisham losing ground on the West Norfolk League Division One's top two, who both had maximum points wins.
Leaders Bircham bowled out Castle Acre for 99 before John King made a rapid 62 not out as they won by 10 wickets in the 13th over.
Adrian Bensley (69) and Joe Peveritt (56), meanwhile, helped Sandringham amass 246-6 against Swaffham A, who were bowled out for 72 runs with the wickets shared between Mark Shephard (5-32) and Joe Peveritt (5-27).
The batsman of the day was Paul Morton, who put Terrington to the sword for an unbeaten 214 which included 20 fours and 11 sixes as Denver made 324-7. James Smolen picked up 5-56 as Terrington made a respectable score of 235 all out with William Rhodes scoring 68.
Heacham’s unbeaten start to the season in Division Two came to an end as they lost by 45 runs to Hillington, who made 151-8 before Dan Blackmuir’s 7-19 dismissed Heacham for 106 with Matthew Wright left stranded on 50 not out.
Northwold closed the gap to seven points with a four wicket win over Downham B. Ian Stacey scored 59 in Downham’s total of 162-5 but Northwold successfully chased it down with eight balls to spare.
Shinoj Philip scored his maiden 50 for Hospital as they reached 201-9 against Fakenham thirds. The Futter family excelled in the field with Dean taking four catches and Harrison three behind the stumps. Philip capped a good day by taking 3-28 and the last catch as Fakenham were all out for 109 (Dean Futter 48 no).
In Division Three Narborough A’s unbeaten start also came to an end in their top of the table clash against Thornham. Kevin Williamson smashed an unbeaten 129, including seven fours and 13 sixes, as Thornham set Narborough 250 to win. Opener Stephen King scored 54, but Christopher Williamson’s 6-48 saw Narborough A bowled out for 176 in the last over.
Dersingham A’s Alex Havers scored his third consecutive 50 as his team successfully chased down Mundford’s target of 123. Daniel Cook took 5-20 as Snettisham A dismissed Dereham B for 86 to win by nine wickets. Keith Morgan scored 64 in Gooderstone’s 196-6 before Beeston were bowled out for 78.
In Division Four Beetley’s Keith Daykin scored 101 in a total of 218-2 against Denver A, who were bowled out for 81.
