parkrun round-up: Parkrunners out in force after London Marathon

Parkruns around the region took advantage of the running buzz generated from the London Marathon last weekend as Mark Armstrong reports
An impressive 348 runners turned out at King's Lynn and they were led home by perennial winner Matt Pyatt (Renegade Runners) in 16:49.
Daniel Guppy (King's Lynn Triathlon Club) netted a new personal best in 17:04 to take second place with Nicholas Bensley (Ryston Runners AC) third in 17:10.
Fenland Running Club's Claudia Milburn was the first female in 21:47, ahead of Lisa Pyatt (Renegade Runners) in 22:04. Youngster Izzy Sandover (Ryston Runners AC) notched up a new PB in third in 22:48.

Darren Easter (Dereham Runners AC) clocked up his 150th parkrun in 18:10 whilst Renegade Runners' Cheryl Brown celebrated her 100th in 27:49. Daniel Smith and Gill Phelps ran their 50th parkruns in 21:36 and 36:08 respectively.

City of Norwich AC athlete Dominic Oliver led runners home at Lowestoft on Saturday in 17:07.
Stanley Collins (Great Yarmouth & District AC) was second in 17:51 with Roi Martinez setting a new personal best in third in 18:08.
Harriet Lyman (Waveney Valley AC) was first female in 21:32 with Tracy Prewer (Lowestoft Road Runners) second in 22:38. Kathryn Skazick was third in 23:16.
Tom Galley (Lowestoft Road Runners) celebrated his 100th parkrun in a very decent time of 18:24.

Ipswich JAFFA member Robert Chenery took first place at Gorleston in 17:14.
An unknown runner took the second token with Nick Roper (Bungay Black Dog RC) in third place in 17:55.
Colleen Mukuya was first female in 20:57, ahead of Jo Lockhart (Bungay Black Dog RC) in second place in 23:01. Youngster Allyna Mukuya (Great Yarmouth & District AC) was third in 23:13.
Jeremy Bedford and Rachel Hirst (Bungay Black Dog RC) both clocked up their 50th parkruns in 23:02 and 33:38 respectively.

Will Law (Ipswich JAFFA) was the first parkrunner home at Thetford in 18:05.
Matthew Axton was just four seconds behind as runner-up in his first run at Thetford whilst Kevin Vaughan (Thetford AC) was third in 18:20.
Donna Finney was first female in 22:30 ahead of junior runner Maddie Hamilton in second in 22:42 - her first time at Thetford. Youngster Amberly Wright was third in 23:22.
Richard Furness made his 100th parkrun one to savour by setting a new PB of 28:40 whilst Louise Rutherford notched up her 50th event in 27:04.
