Thetford parkrun celebrated its fifth birthday with a bumper field of runners whilst Lowestoft and Holkham also feature in our weekly round-up
Thetford parkun celebrated its fifth anniversary in style on Saturday with their second best ever turnout for the event.
An impressive 267 runners took part and they were set on their way by town crier Michael Wabe.
Thetford AC's Kevin Vaughan led the field home in 18:29 with Matthew Thrower (Renegade Runners) just behind in 18:53 in his first taste of the Thetford event. Romas Bleda was third in 19:35.

Sabine Schaefer (Thetford AC) was first female, and eighth overall, in 20:35 with Heidi Teixera in second place as she set a new personal best of 21:59. Natalie King was third in 22:36.
Colin Chamberlain, Maureen Bellotti and Andy Greenhouse all celebrated their 100th parkruns whilst Jane Smith clocked up her 50th.

Junior runner Sam Tomkinson led the 97 parkrunners home at Holkham in an excellent time of 18:56.
Anthony Clude was just under a minute behind in 19:45 in second place with David Peak third in 20:11.
Claire Bracegirdle was first female in 21:40 with Ann Bracegirdle in second place in 23:16 - a new personal best. Natasha Bates was third in 23:25 (new PB).
Eighteen runners took part in the Holkham event for the first time with 18 also achieving new personal bests.

Thirty-six runners clocked up new personal bests at Lowestoft as 215 competitors took part in their latest event.
Ipswich JAFFA runner Robert Chenery took first place in 16:40 ahead of Dominic Oliver (City of Norwich AC) in 17:51. Ian Allen was third in 18:20 in his first parkrun at Lowestoft.
Mairi Walker was first female in 23:32 with Emma Bromley just a second behind as runner-up in 22:33 - a new personal best. Lowestoft Toad Runners' Rebecca Lawler was third in 23:06 - a new PB.
Waveney Valley AC's Michael Quantrill notched up his 225th parkrun in 21:03 whilst Jayne Pitcher and Angela Jones celebrated their 75th events in 29:58 and 28:28 respectively.
