parkrun focus: Personal bests aplenty at Lowestoft with runners also out in force at Thetford, King’s Lynn, Blickling and Gorleston

Lowestoft, Thetford, King's Lynn, Blickling and Gorleston Cliffs all figure in this week's parkrun round-up
Adam Howlett led the 250 parkrunners home at Lowestoft on Saturday.
An impressive 41 runners recorded new personal bests but it was Howlett that blitzed the rest of the field with a fine run of 17:26 in excellent conditions with Lowestoft Road Runners' Tom Galley second in 19:05. An unknown runner was third with visiting Gary Chandler (Springfield Striders RC) fourth in 19:12.
Beccles and Bungay Harriers' Lauren Howe was first female in 22:54 ahead of Jenny Sheahan in second place in 23:10. Kerry Saunders was third in 23:58.

Robin Jones notched up his 100th parkrun, equalling his personal best of 22:41 in the process. Eric Payne celebrated his 75th whilst Sonya Mallett and Philip Ayers clocked up their 50th runs.

Paul Wildman led the field home as 183 runners took part at Thetford.
Wildman posted a time of 20:06 to take first place ahead of Ryston Runners' Martin Heeley in 20:24 during his first taste of Thetford. Jason Elrick was third male in 20:33, just behind first female Sabine Schaefer (Thetford AC) in 20:30.
Donna Finney gained a new personal best of 21:47 in second place whilst Heidi Teixera was third in 22:20 (also a new PB).
Nicola Byford celebrated her 97th parkrun with a new PB of 23:30 as did Chris Harding in 24:47.

More than 300 runners took part at King's Lynn with Peter Holmes (Ely Runners) taking first place in 17:35.
Daniel Guppy (King's Lynn Triathlon Club) was runner-up in 17:59 with John Hopgood (Ryston Runners AC) third in 18:03.
Sally Lynn Hurst (Renegade Runners) was first female in 20:48 with Debbie Schwarz (West Norfolk AC) second in 21:05. Junior Memphis Symonds (City of Norwich AC) was third in 21:07 on her first ever run at King's Lynn.
Junior runner Grace Hird celebrated her 150th parkrun in 24:25 whilst David Neale (Ryston Runners AC) clocked up his 50th in 21:44.

Forty-seven runners registered new personal bests as Blickling first timer Nick Pullen (University of East Anglia AC) led the field home in 18:14.
In a bunched finish Ethan Davies (North Norfolk Harriers AC) was just two seconds back in 18:16 with Chris Millsted third in 18:19.
North Norfolk Harriers AC's Abi Durand was first female in 19:00 with Elly Young (Coltishall Jaguars) second in 21:22. Charlotte Ennals (North Norfolk Beach Runners) was third in 22:43.

Dean Bain came first at Gorleston Cliffs in an impressive time of 18:12 ahead of Kyle Ella (Great Yarmouth & District AC) in 18:29.
Junior runner Abdu Hussain came third as he set a new personal best of 18:40.
Young runner Allyna Mukuya was first female in 21:59 ahead of Colleen Mukuya in 22:01. Laura Devereux (Bungay Black Dog RC) was third in 22:48.
Blaine Craddock celebrated his 150th parkun in 22:54 with Robin Farrar clocking up his 100th as tail runner.
